The Marmalade Spread: Wizdom Layne

The Marmalade Spread returns with Wizdom Layne, an artist, youth worker and Co-Director of We Are Impact, whose career has bridged music, education and industry for over two decades.

Drawing on his experience across artist development, education and national music initiatives, Wizdom has helped shape programmes with XLP, MOBO Unsung, The Prince's Trust and Hospital Records, while working to close the gap between music education and the industry it prepares young people for.

Brandon sits down with Wizdom to explore the disconnect between education and the music industry, what sustainable artist development really looks like, and how we can build a more accessible creative future for emerging talent.

Marmalade Presents: June 2026

Our June edition of Marmalade Presents brought together two incredible artists pushing the boundaries of modern pop and indie-rock. Macie Nyah lit up the stage with her bold, infectious brand of unapologetic pop, combining glittering production, irresistible hooks and heartfelt storytelling into a performance full of energy, confidence and personality.

Joining her was LEXA, whose nostalgic 00s-inspired indie-rock sound blended heavy guitars with dreamy harmonies and deeply honest songwriting. Her set explored themes of healing, love and identity, showcasing the emotional depth at the heart of her music while reclaiming indie-rock for a new generation of artists and fans.

Mac Adams Live @ St Matthias Church

Mac Adams' headline show at St Matthias Church was far more than a gig - it was an immersive experience that brought his creative world to life. Across two thoughtfully curated sets, Mac was joined by his full band, a 16-piece choir, and special guest Rutii for a breathtaking live performance of Lungs, featuring a stunning new choral arrangement created by Mac especially for the evening.

The night also marked the debut of Lights Out, Mac's self-founded 16 person choir, expanding the world he's building around his music and continuing his commitment to nurturing an inclusive, uplifting creative community. Every detail reflected his vision, creating an intimate and deeply moving experience that left barely a dry eye in the room and touched everyone in attendance.

Following the release of ‘Shallows’, THE YAZ BAND are set to release their new single, ‘Let Down’, on 3rd July.
